What is IDriveSync app?

IDriveSync app allows you to take over all the files in your IDriveSync account anytime and from anywhere on your iPhone / iPad / Android mobile. Follow the below instructions to access your IDriveSync account on your mobile:

  1. Download and install the IDriveSync app on your iPhone / iPad / Android mobile.
  2. Login with your IDriveSync account credentials. If you do not have an IDriveSync account, sign up for a new account.
  3. Now browse, view, search, share, even upload photos / videos and sync your live captures instantly online and across computers.

Note: You can sync live captures only on iPhone / iPad.

How do I share files / folders with my friends from iPhone / iPad / Android mobile?

For iPhone / iPad:

To share files / folders with friends or associates via IDriveSync app, follow the below instructions:

  1. Tap the Share icon on IDriveSync app to enable the share feature.
  2. Select the desired files / folders and tap on the Share button.
  3. Provide valid email address(es) to send the share link to your contacts. Do not delete or move the shared files / folders after sending the email.

For Android mobile:

To share files / folders with friends or associates via IDriveSync app, follow the below instructions:

  1. Tap on the Menu and select the Share icon
  2. Choose the desired file / folder and tap on the Share button
  3. Select an option to share

Note: The Share option is available only for IDriveSync accounts with default encryption.

How do I view the files / folders shared with me?

You can view files / folders shared with you via the web interface. Click on the share link received via email. The files / folders shared with you are listed. You can now view and download the shared files.


Note: Number of downloads per file is limited to 10.

Can I manage my IDriveSync account files / folders from iPhone / iPad / Android mobile?

For iPhone / iPad:

You can rename, delete files / folders or create a new folder in your IDriveSync account from iPhone / iPad. For this, tap on the Edit button.

Rename file / folder

Steps:
  1. Tap on the Rename file / folder icon next to your desired file / folder.
  2. Type the new file / folder name.
  3. Tap on Done button.

Delete file / folder

Steps:
  1. Tap on the Delete file / folder icon next to your desired file / folder.
  2. Tap on Delete button to delete it.

Create a new folder

Steps:
  1. Tap on the create new folder icon on IDriveSync app.
  2. Type the folder name.
  3. Tap on Done button.

The changes are automatically synced to your PCs / Macs.

For Android mobile:

Long press the desired file to rename / delete it.

To create a new folder tap on the menu, select the Create folder icon and provide the desired name.

How can I search any file / folder in my IDriveSync account from iPhone / iPad / Android mobile?

For iPhone / iPad:

To search any file / folder in your IDriveSync account from iPhone / iPad, enter the complete or part of the file / folder name in the search bar.

For Android mobile:

To search any file / folder in your IDriveSync account from your Android mobile, tap on the menu and choose Search icon. Enter the complete or part of the file / folder name in the search bar.

How does the Image Gallery work on my iPhone / iPad / Android mobile?

You can view the images of a current folder by tapping the Image Gallery icon on IDriveSync app. All the photos of the current folder will appear as thumbnails.

Note: Not applicable to .png files for iPhone / iPad.

Can I upload photos / videos from the gallery?

Yes, you can upload photos / videos to your IDriveSync account from gallery.

For iPhone

Steps:

  1. Tap the Upload icon on IDriveSync app to enable the upload feature.
  2. To upload photos / videos from gallery tap on Select files from gallery.
  3. Select your desired files by tapping on them.
  4. Tap on Upload button.

You can also view your upload status by tapping on Show Upload Progress.

For iPad

Steps:

  1. To enable the upload feature, tap the Upload icon on IDriveSync.
  2. Tap on the Upload icon to display the images.
  3. Select and upload your desired files by tapping on them.

Steps:

  1. Tap the Menu and select the Upload icon
  2. Select the desired option (Picture / Video / Audio)
  3. Select your desired file to upload

You can also view your upload status in the Notification Area.

Why can't I upload multiple photos from iPhone?

The location services of your iPhone may be in disable state. You can choose and upload only one photo at a time. Enable the location services to upload multiple photos together.


To enable location services, go to

Settings > General > Location Services > enable location service by tapping the On button next to Location service IDriveSync icon

While uploading photos, I can’t see them as thumbnails on my iPad. Why?

The location services of your iPad may be in disable state.


To enable location services, go to

Settings > General > Location Services > enable location service by tapping the On button next to Location service IDriveSync icon

Can I sync my live captures from iPhone / iPad?

Yes, you can upload and sync your live captures from iPhone / iPad.

Steps:

  1. Tap the Live captures icon on IDriveSync app.
  2. Select Capture live and upload by tapping on it.
  3. Take photo / video by tapping the Capture button.
  4. Tap on Use button to upload.

Note: Live capture is limited only for camera-enabled devices. The Upload option is available for IDriveSync accounts with default encryption.
