Can I access synced files via the web?

Yes, you can view, search and access synced files available in your IDriveSync account, directly via web.

For this, login to your IDriveSync account via any browser. All synced files are displayed.

Can I share files with my friends / associates?

Yes, you can share files and folders with your associates via any web browser.

Steps:

  1. Login to your IDriveSync account via any web browser. By default, all your synced files / folders are listed.
  2. Select 'Share' option from the menu for corresponding file / folder.
  3. IDriveSync - Share
  4. Provide valid email address(es) or import contacts from your address book.
  5. Set permissions to the file / folder by selecting 'Can View' or 'Can Edit'. If you select 'Can View', your associate will only be able to view the shared file. If you select 'Can Edit', your associate will be able to edit the shared file.
  6. Click the 'Send Email' button to send the share link to your associates.

Note: Do not delete or move the shared files / folders after sending the email. You can share a file / folder to 50 accounts.

 

 

How do I view the files / folders shared with me?

To view files / folders shared with you via the web interface:

  1. Click on the share link received via email.
  2. Login to your IDriveSync account. If you don’t have an account, sign up for a new IDriveSync account.
  3. By default, the 'Files Shared with me' tab is displayed, to view and download the shared files.

My associate has still not accepted the share invite. Can I re-invite my associate?

Yes, you can re-invite your associate. Login to your IDriveSync account via any browser, select 'Share' > 'Files shared by me' tab. Click 'Share details' option for the corresponding shared file / folder. The status will be displayed as below:

- Share accepted by your associate
Pending - Share is not yet accepted

If the share invite is rejected / pending with your associate, select 'Re-invite'. Your associate will receive an email to access the shared file / folder.

Is it possible to update permission or cancel a shared file / folder?

Yes, you can modify the permission or cancel a shared file / folder.

Steps:

  1. Log into your IDriveSync account via any browser
  2. Click on the 'Share' tab
  3. Select 'Files shared by me' tab to view all links shared by you
  4. Select 'Share Details' option from the menu for the corresponding file / folder
  5. Select Access Rights as 'Can View' or 'Can Edit'. If you select 'Can View', your associate will only be able to view the shared file / folder. If you select 'Can Edit', your associate will be able to modify the shared file / folder.
  6. To cancel the share with an associate, click on the Details icon adjacent to the email address. Click the 'Unshare All' button to cancel the share with all your associates.

Can I view the files / folders I have shared till date?

Yes, you can view files / folders you have shared till date.

  1. Log into your IDriveSync account via any browser
  2. Click on the 'Share' tab.
  3. Click on 'Files shared by me' tab to view all files shared by you.
  4. Select 'Share Details' option from the menu for the corresponding file / folder. Alternatively, you can view share details from 'My files' tab.
  5. Details of the shared file / folder like email address, share status and access rights are listed.

Is it possible to retrieve an older version of my file?

Yes. IDriveSync maintains upto 30 previous versions of files in your account. You can restore the previous version of a file to your local system.

Steps:

  1. Login to your IDriveSync account via any browser.
  2. By default, the 'My Files' tab is displayed.
  3. Click on the 'Versions' icon to view all the previous versions of a selected file.
  4. Click on the Version number that is displayed as a hyperlink to restore the file to your local computer.

How do I upload files to my IDriveSync account?

Login to your IDriveSync account at http://www.idrivesync.com and click the 'Upload' tab. Browse to select the files that you want to upload and click the ‘Upload’ button.

Can I view the images in my IDriveSync account?

Yes, you can view the images in your IDriveSync account via the web. Image Gallery displays all image files of a particular folder as thumbnails.

Steps:

  1. Login to your IDriveSync account via the web. The 'My files' tab is displayed, by default.
  2. Click 'Image Gallery' tab. The images are displayed as thumbnails.
  3. Click on a thumbnail image to view the slideshow.
  4. To view the image in original resolution, click 'View Full Size'. You can also save the image files in original resolution by clicking the 'Save' icon.

Can I view logs of operations performed on my desktop applications via any browser?

Yes. Login to your IDriveSync account using any web browser, click on 'Application Logs' for a complete status on all sync-up, sync-down and delete operations, performed via the desktop applications.

Click on the Details icon to view the details of any synced-up, synced down or delete operation.

How do I update my profile and manage my IDriveSync account?

Login to the IDriveSync account, go to 'Account Settings' to edit profile, upgrade account or to cancel your subscription. For Pro accounts, you can also update your Credit Card details.

How do I view the billing and invoice information related to my account?

Pro account subscribers can login to the IDriveSync account; go to 'Account Settings' and click on 'Billing Report' to view a summary of transactions. Click on 'Invoice' link to view the invoice of each transaction.

The credit card that I had used to sign up for an IDriveSync account has expired and I have outstanding payments towards my account. What should I do?

Login to your IDriveSync account, go to Account Settings and click on the 'Edit Credit Card' option to update credit card details. Click on 'Apply Pending Charges' button to settle the dues towards your IDriveSync account.
